Why do you get up in the morning? Why do you go to work everyday? What is it that you really want to do with your life?
For most of us the answers are easy. We get up to take care of things. We go to work to earn money. We all want to live the American Dream of owning a house with a white picket fence, drive a nice car and have 1.5 children with one dog and two cats, right? I dare say that even for those that think this way, there is still something deep within saying, there must be more...to life. That still small voice could be telling you to define your real purpose in life.
To do so takes so searching and time. But if we fail to do so we seeming wonder around the globe enjoying temporary gains and feeling empty and out of gas far too often. Rick Warren, author of the best-selling book, The Purpose Driven Life offers this, "Living on purpose is the only way to live. Everything else is just existing".
Before you embark on another day, consider, what is my purpose? What is it that I am here to do? Why am I in the business that I am in or why am I in the vocation that I practice? A strategic focus toward specific goals is the place to start. This time of the year is the best time to initiate the process. If you need help working through the process consider using the resources at Coates and Associates, Inc. We would consider it an honor to visit with you about developing a process forward.
