“Steering Organizations To New Horizons.”
Fulfilling Your Potential By Committing To The Process
One of the greatest challenges a leader faces when seeking to fulfill his or her potential is the time and energy it takes to see change occur. Far too many leaders bail out of the process when the going gets hard. There are three principles that each leader who fulfills their potential learns to implement. Here is the second:
Principle #2: Those who fulfill their potential commit to the process of growth.
Leadership specialist Jim Rohn wrote, “You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.” Yes, there is a process that each leader must embrace if one’s full potential is going to be realized. Rush it too quickly, and you will miss wonderful life-lessons. Take the trip too slowly, and you will never reach your destination on time.
Here is the take-a-way for the leader who desires to fulfill his or her potential. How is it done? What does a leader have to do in order to grow in this critical area of personal growth?
There must be a commitment to the process of growth.
I’d love to hear your perspective. What do you do in order to remain committed to the process of reaching your potential?
If you need help working through the process consider using the resources at Coates and Associates, Inc. We would consider it an honor to visit with you about developing a process forward.
